On 27th September 2019, Sprint’s class at Telecommunications Schools Group visited Maritime Office in Gdynia.
Teenagers were presented with IT systems used at Maritime Security Center - VTS Zatoka Gdańska as well as Gdynia Harbor Captain’ work station (Harbor Master’s Office Tower), as an example for other stations located along the Polish shore (harbor offices). The presented system was mainly Maritime Navigation Security Information Exchange System that functions ad the central application for the National Maritime Security System, as well as the National Single Window - a receiving, archiving and distribution system of all information connected to the advised voyages of ships to Polish harbors.
The infrastructural part was also discussed: server rooms, work stations, fiber optic networks and radio communication used by the above-mentioned IT systems at Maritime Office in Gdynia.



Spring has been patronizing IT technician classes at Telecommunications Schools Group for a few years, organizing lessons and visits at their projects’ sites.
