Acme Packet (NASDAQ: APKT), leader in SBC solutions, has announced that Sprint, a leading integrator and distributor of products connected with IP communications, will begin to distribute SBC solutions from the family named Net-Net and will support their implementation for Internet service providers in Poland. As the result of this new distribution agreement, VECTRA, the second largest cable operator and triple play service provider in Poland, has chosen SBC Net-Net solutions in order to supply VoIP services for its clients – residential subscribers.
Net-Net 4250 SD solution contains a safety packet Net-SAFE, providing VECTRA with protection against breaks in service supplies or loss of profit caused by an intended attack or overload.
“We have chosen SBC Acme Packet solutions for the needs of our IP network because verbal communication is quickly becoming an essential, profitable service offered on our market”, said Ryszard Jezierski, responsible for stationary telephone development in VECTRA. “By cooperating with Sprint and Acme Packet we could efficiently implement operator class SBC solutions to ensure safety of the network, accessibility and quality of conversations, and use the new opportunities to increase profits given by VoIP technology”.
